The past 6-8 months have been a real battle with my skin and skincare routine. Back in the summer I noticed my eyelids were getting incredibly sore, dry, red and flaky. I also noticed a rash around my nose that kept on flaring up. I’ve luckily never had any issues with my skin my entire life so when my skin was started re-acting to everything I used I had no idea how to fix it.
I’ve never suffered with dermatitis or eczema so I was baffled as to why my skin was suddenly flaring up. I avoided using make up brushes. I switched up my skincare, I even went to the doctors for a prescription cream and nothing helped! Whenever I thought I found a solution my skin would flare back up within a couple of days.
So I spent some time researching skincare and their ingredients before I made the next step. I came across First Aid Beauty and saw that their skincare line was made for sensitive skin and even some of their products were made for eczema! I ran to Sephora that afternoon because I couldn’t bear dealing with my skin anymore (it was getting very painful at this point). I grabbed the Pure skin face cleanser, Ultra repair cream and Facial radiance pads. I knew I wanted to really simplify my skincare routine hence why I only grabbed 3 products.
These products have completely changed my skin! After just a couple of uses my eczema and dermatitis had completely cleared up and my skin has been happy ever since. I stopped using these products for 3 days to see if they really were making a difference, in those 3 days my eczema flared back up. Since I am in my 20’s I really don’t see the need to over complicate my skincare routine and I think having a simple skincare routine has improved my skin that much more.
- Pure skin face cleanser removes surface oils, makeup and dirt. It’s a light creamy texture that doesn’t foam up too much. It leaves my skin feeling so fresh and clean. I haven’t experienced any pimples/zits or blackheads since using this! My skin feels and looks so clear!
- Facial radiance pads help to exfoliate, brighten and tone. When I was first trying to heal my eczema I did not use these pads right away as I felt they would be too intense and they would just irritate my skin more. After my eczema healed I have loved using these! I love how bright and awake they make my skin look, I love to use these after I cleanse and my skin feels extra clean!
- Ultra repair cream provides intense hydration for dry skin. I have tried so many moisturizers that are aimed for dry skin and claim to have ‘intense hydration’ and nothing ever worked. This moisturizer is probably my biggest holy grail beauty product now. I haven’t experienced any dry skin since using this product and I honestly don’t think I’ll be changing my moisturizer again! It provides amazing hydration and is still lightweight enough to wear during the day.
What other products should I try from First aid beauty? Have you tried any of these products? Let me know!
