June has always been my favourite month, I might be a little biased since it is my birth month, but still! June was filled with plenty of celebrations, we finally sent off my permanent residence application, I celebrated my birthday with amazing people and plenty of champagne Jell-O shots, and we also celebrated our close friends graduation.
I had a lot of skin issues this month so I decided to switch up my skincare routine, I was intrigued by the Nip+Fab skincare line as it’s from the founder of Rodial, now I know I’m late to the Nip+Fab party but I only just discovered it in Canada. I will have an in depth review coming to the blog very soon but for now I’ll share one product with you that I have been loving.
Nip+Fab Dragons Blood Fix Cleansing Pads
I’ve only been using these cleansing pads for around two weeks but I’ve been loving how hydrated they are making my skin feel, sometimes cleansers can dry out my skin as I mentioned in my how to use cleansing oils post, but these pads put the moisture straight back into my skin. They are soaked in salicylic acid and hyaluronic acid which help to cleanse your pores, keep skin hydrated and looking plump.
By Terry Lipstick
I very rarely venture out of my nude lip comfort zone, but in summer I do sometimes make an exception. I think a bold lip paired with simple eye make-up looks so fresh for the summer. The By terry rouge terribly lipsticks have incredible pigmentation and last throughout the day. This one is in the shade 200 Frenetic Vermillion. You can probably tell how well loved this lipstick is.
I have been loving buying a bunch of fresh flowers each week, this month I managed to score peonies in my city, if that wasn’t rare enough, they were even on sale! It really is the small things in life that make you happy, fresh flowers brighten up your home and give you something beautiful to look at throughout the week.
The House at Riverton
I was kindly lent this book by a good friend, we’ve been getting some beautiful weather recently which has given my ample opportunity to sit on the deck and soak up this book. I’m only part way through this book so I cannot give my full opinion just yet but if you love historically set novels filled with plenty of secrets then you will definitely enjoy this read.
One thing I love about summer is all the unique date options. We’ve been taking advantage of the sunshine with plenty of romantic picnic, trips to the zoo (yes Morgan and I are the biggest kids at heart), and dinners on patio’s.
What were you loving in June? Have you tried any of the featured products?
